On January 13, 2021, JSC Tomskneft VNK celebrates 55 years since its foundation. During this time, 545 million tons of "black gold" and 65 billion cubic meters of gas have been produced.

Today Tomskneft holds 25 licenses for geological exploration and production of hydrocarbons in the Tomsk Region and 7 licenses in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area. In addition, the company is an agent for the development of three licensed sites of Rosneft.

Over the past years, three producing regions were formed – Vasyugan, Luginets, Strezhevskoy. Among the most significant fields are Nizhnevartovsk, Strezhevskoye, Vakhskoye, Luginetskoye, Olenye, Sovietskoye, Krapivinskoye, Dvurechenskoye, Igolsko-Talovoye, Pervomaiskoye.

The main feature is the large scattering of the fields. The territory of activity of Tomsk oil workers is more than 42 thousand square kilometers, and the area of sites is over 20 thousand square kilometers. Fields are located in the hard-to-reach Vasyugan bogs and on undeveloped lands.

Tomskneft pays special attention to the rational utilization of associated petroleum gas. Since 2007, 10 facilities were built and commissioned, including 3 gas turbine power plants with a total capacity of 43.5 MW, as part of the strategic gas program. This allows to use APG to generate electric and thermal energy, which increases the efficiency of oil and gas production, and also helps to ease-off the stress on the environment and improve the environmental situation at the fields.

The ENERGAS Companies Group made a significant contribution to the implementation of the Tomskneft gas program. At the preliminary water removal units of Sovietskoye (PWRU-3, PWRU-9) and Vakhskoye (PWRU-4, PWRU-5) fields, its vacuum compressor stations operate for transportation of the low-pressure associated gas. And at the GTPP-12 of Igolsko-Talovoye field, the ENERGAS booster compressor station provides additional purification, compression and supply of APG to the gas turbines of the power plant.
