In the Southern administrative district of Moscow, the commissioning ceremony of the Kolomenskoye gas turbine power plant took place
1 July 2009
There is signed certificate of acceptance into commercial operation of gas turbine units of Kolomenskoye GTPP. Cogeneration gas turbine power plant (electric capacity is 136 MW, thermal capacity is 171 Gcal / h) has in its composition:- Three SGT-800 gas turbine units manufactured by Siemens;
- Three hot-water waste-heat boilers produced by Machine-Building Factory of Podolsk OJSC;
- АМS generators company АВВ (Sweden);
- SPPA-T3000 automated control system of the Siemens.
Gas compression and feeding to the turbines under the required working pressure of 3 MPa are carried out by a booster station consisting of four compressor units (CU) of screw type. The capacity of each CU is 19,700 m3 / h.
CUs are housed in their own sound-absorbing shelters; operate in automatic mode, equipped with life support systems (heating, ventilation, and lighting) and safety systems (fire detection and fire extinguishing, gas detection).
The high prefabrication level of the equipment has allowed to reduce to a minimum the terms of the erection and adjustment. The supply of compressor units and the entire set of pre-starting operations were provided by ENERGAS.

The general design of the gas turbine power plant was made by CJSC TEPINZHENIRING. The installation of power equipment was provided by Karat RSK. The peculiarity of Kolomenskoye GTPP is the location of the plant in the residential area, which required appropriate selection of equipment for environmental and noise characteristics.
In addition to heat supply of more than 1 million Gcal per year, Kolomenskoye GTPP annual electricity output will amount to about 77 million kWh, which will significantly reduce the power deficit in the context of growing electricity consumption in Moscow and increase the reliability of supplying consumers in the Moscow region with electricity and heat.
The project was implemented within the framework of the "Energy strategy of the city of Moscow for the period until 2025". In total, the Government of Moscow plans to build on the basis of district thermal power plants 8 modern GTPPs.
