Tomskneft commissioned 12 MW GTPP at Igolsko-Talovoye field

13 July 2011

July 12 at the Igolsko-Talovoye field of OJSC Tomskneft VNK and Saturn-Gas Turbines OJSC commissioned a 12 MW gas turbine power plant that will supply energy to the facilities of the Vasyugan group of fields. The new power plant will not only replenish the energy deficit, but it will also make a significant contribution to the implementation of the state program for recovery of associated petroleum gas.

The launch of GTPP-12 will allow Tomskneft to make full use of the potential of the Tomsk Region's fields, while solving a number of important production and environmental challenges. The project had three objectives.

First, to reduce emissions to the atmosphere from the flared associated gas. Secondly, increase the percentage of rational use of APG. The third goal is to increase the generation of electricity for the needs of the oil and gas industry. The calculation proved to be correct: GTPP makes it possible to open additional well cluster, which means – to increase hydrocarbon production.

The power plant is based on two GTA-6RM gas turbine units (designed and produced by OJSC Saturn-Gas Turbines and NPO Saturn) with a unit capacity of 6 MW, based on upgraded D-30KU / KP aircraft engines. GTPP operates in a simple cycle; the fuel is associated gas from Igolsko-Talovoye, Karayskoye and Tagayskoye oil fields.

Final treatment, compression of up to 2.5 MPa and feeding of APG to gas turbines are carried out by a booster compressor station in hangar (intrashop) version. The BCS includes two screw-type units with the capacity of 5,895 m3 / h each.

Gas supply equipment is fully automated and will operate as a part of the facility in continuous mode. The supply of BCS and the entire pre-startup cycle (erection supervision, adjustment, individual and integrated tests, and training of operating personnel) were performed by ENERGAS.
