"Nevsky Zavod" (part of the "REP Holding") has completed the upgrade of the test benches for testing gas turbine units of own production.

In the implementation of this project there is taken an active part by the company ENERGAS, which specializes in equipping modern power facilities and the oil and gas industry with gas treatment equipment.

ENERGAS Company has supplied and commissioned booster compressor station (BCS) of fuel gas. BCS of type EGSI-S-190/1500W feeds gas, which corresponds to the specified design parameters of purity, temperature, pressure and flow, to the testable turbines.

BCS is a packaged unit in weatherproof sound-absorbing shelter; it is equipped with systems of working and emergency lighting, heating and ventilation; gas detection and fire fighting systems; individual oil feeding system.

Gas treatment equipment was developed on special project, since it is intended for operating in conditions of high intensity starts and stops as well as various duration of the GTU tests.



Filtration module provides accordance of fuel to the set parameters: the content of mechanical impurities in gas at the BCS outlet - no more 2 mg / kg; the degree of purification from condensed moisture and solids larger than 10 microns - 100%.

Rated capacity of BCS is 11,000 m3 / h and is adjusted by regulation system with two levels: in range of 15…100% by the function of compressor spool regulation; in range of 0…15% by the bypass line with valves.

Automated control system (ACS) supports compressor station in operation mode and provides the required operating parameters, including parameters of oil, gas and coolant. ACS is integrated with the upper level of APCS. Control compartment is placed inside the block-module of BCS and is separated from the process part by gas-tight fire-resistant partition.

The mobile technical group carried out a full cycle of pre-start activities: erection supervision, adjustment, individual 24-hour testing, acceptance testing in conjunction with a gas turbine, training of operating personnel.

Upon the completion of the project, CJSC Nevsky Zavod sent the company ENERGAS a letter of gratitude, which noted the high professionalism shown in the production, supply and preparation of equipment for commissioning.

Specialists of the "Nevsky Zavod" confirm: BCS provides all the standards and requirements for the quality of fuel gas, which makes it possible to test gas turbines on schedule and in a timely manner. The letter also stressed that at all stages of cooperation, the employees of ENERGAS showed themselves as a qualified and reliable team that responds promptly to the wishes of the customer.

To such a high estimate, we add that in recent years ENERGAS has equipped with similar compressor stations two other special purpose facilities: test benches for gas turbines of PJSC Proton-Perm Motors and JSC UEC-Gas Turbines.

REFERENCE. Since 2007, ENERGAS has supplied and commissioned 238 BCS and fuel gas treatment units. In the electric power industry, they work at 59 generating facilities with a total capacity of over 4,200 MW; in the oil and gas industry they treat associated petroleum gas at 40 fields. For today, the company has 119 projects.

Gas treatment units "ENERGAS" operate in conjunction with various types of gas-using equipment: gas reciprocating units, gas pumping units, boiler rooms. A special practice has been developed during the joint use with gas turbine equipment of leading domestic and world manufacturers: UEC-Gas Turbines and UEC-Saturn, UEC-Perm Motors and UEC-Aviadvigatel, Kazan and Ufa Motor-Building Production Associations, Nevsky Zavod, Russian Gas Turbines, Power Machines, Alstom, Turbomach, Centrax, Solar, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, Kawasaki, Wartsila, Siemens, General Electric.
