Fuel gas treatment system for the GTU-TPP in Yelabuga underwent its first maintenance since commissioning
25 May 2019
Since the end of 2018, in the city of Yelabuga (Republic of Tatarstan), a modern thermal power plant, created on the basis of gas turbine technologies, has been operating at the site of a local Heat Network Company. GTU-TPP has electrical capacity of about 20 MW and thermal capacity of 28 Gcal / h.The main equipment of GTU-TPP consists of four gas turbine units Solar of type Taurus 60 GS with a unit capacity of 5.6 MW and four hot-water waste-heat boilers. The fuel for turbines is natural gas.

As a part of power plant there is operates ENERGAS gas treatment system (GTS) which provides designed parameters of fuel on purity, temperature, and pressure and flow rate. GTS comprises a gas treatment unit and a booster compressor station consisting of two units.
At present, the first comprehensive maintenance (MNT) of this equipment since launch is completed. All the units, operating as a part of GTS, underwent MNT-4000. The following activities were conducted as planned:
- Replacement of consumables of the compressor units and gas treatment unit;
- Change of filtering elements of the separation systems;
- Diagnosis of local automated control systems;
- Correction of the gas flow meters;
- Functional tests of the all utility systems;
- Verification of operational parameters and their adjustment;
- Troubleshooting, drafting recommendations on components replacement.
At the time of MNT, the operating time of each compressor unit and gas treatment unit has been more than 4,000 hours.
