ACRS will provide monitoring, control and safe operation of BCU which will be involved in the tests of AL-31ST gas turbine engines

At the site of UEC-UMPO test bench, the engineers of the LLC ServicENERGAS (ENERGAS Group) perform a set of works on commissioning of booster compressor unit. BCU is designed for uninterrupted fuel gas feeding into the testable gas-turbine engines (GTE) of type AL-31ST according to the set parameters on purity, pressure, temperature, and flow rate.



BCU, supplied by the company ENERGAS will compress gas to the required operating level (2.8…3.2 MPa) and feed it to the gas generator of drives in the process of their testing.

The equipment was developed on a special project; it is designed for operating under high intensity of starts and shutdowns as well as various duration of testing. Capacity of BCU is 6,500 m3 / h.

For efficient monitoring, management and safe operation of BCU is responsible automated control and regulation system. ACRS is a complete two-tier system. The first level – BCU control module housed inside the block-box of the unit and separated from the process part (machine room) by gas-tight fire-resistant partition. The second level – a remote control (workstation – WKS) located in the control room of the test bench.

All the components of ACRS have been assembled at the operation site. There were conducted start-up and adjustment works: uninterruptible power supply is connected; software is installed and configured; control system of lower level is related with the ACS of upper level. The joint control complex is integrated in the automated process control system of the facility.

This project is being implemented within upgrade of bench of the PJSC UEC-Ufa Motor-Building Production Association. Here are equivalent-cyclic tests of gas-turbine drives used in gas pumping units and power plants.
