At the site of Grozny TPP there is being completed pre-start preparation of second power generating unit (the first was put into operation in December 2018). Each power generating unit with capacity of about 180 MW consists of SGT5-2000E gas turbine unit (GTU) created on a basis of gas turbine and generator manufactured by Siemens.

The main fuel for turbines is natural gas. Continuous supply of fuel gas to the GTU will be provided by a booster compressor station consisting of three Enerproject modular compressor units of the brand EGSI-S-610/2850WA (supplied by Sfera LLC).



Compressor units (CU) are fully automated. Their automated control systems (ACSs) perform launch (and preparing for start), shutdown, and maintaining the optimal operation mode; control the process parameters; provide automatic protection and alarm; handle the parameters of the workflow and emergency events with the issuance of information via a standard exchange protocol.

The ACSs are based on modern microprocessor technology, using advanced software and switching equipment. They are placed in separate containers located in the immediate vicinity of the block-modules with process equipment of CU.



In the switching off of external electricity feeding, its own uninterruptible power supplies ensure autonomous operation of the software and hardware complex of the CU for at least 0.5 hour.

At present, the local ACSs are combined using the group control function, integrated into the APCS of the power plant and provide remote control of compressor units, indoor gas hazard monitoring, output of information on the status of elements and components to the operator panel. Control from the central panel of the TPP is carried out in full, similar to the control "in site".

The step-by-step commissioning of the gas compressor equipment is conducted by leading engineers of the ENERGAS Group – the official representative of the Swiss company Enerproject SA in Russia.
