Passed 5-year milestone of uninterrupted operation of the compressor station at the Muryaun field of PJSC Surgutneftegas
26 March 2019
Since March 2014, the compressor station (CS) has been operating as a part of facility of oil and gas complex. CS is intended for associated petroleum gas transportation to the number of PJSC Surgutneftegas gas turbine power plants located at the territory of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area.
The Muryaun CS was designed by institute SurgutNIPIneft. Construction was performed by Intra-field Petroleum Gas Gathering and Using Division (UVSING) and Construction and Erection Department No.10 of Construction and Erection Trust-1.
APG coming from the pump stations of Oil and Gas Production Departments Nizhnesortymskneft and Lyantorneft is injected under pressure of 1.3 MPa into the transport pipeline and supplied to the GTPP of Muryaun, Yukyaun, Tromjegan and Lukyavinskoye fields.
The uninterrupted operation of CS is insured primarily by the reliability of main equipment which consists of three booster compressor units (BCU), supplied and commissioned by company ENERGAS.

BCUs made based on screw oil-filled compressors and placed in own enclosures of Arctic type. Units operate in automatic mode, they equipped with life support and safety systems. Capacity of each BCU is 12,000 m3 / h, that provides design capacity of the station in volume of 315 million m3 / year.
In addition to the gas compressor units, the CS is also equipped with the necessary process equipment. These are compressor suction drum and discharge drum of gas as well as tank for waste oil, drain tank with submersible pump, chemical dosing unit with a separate standing vessel, gas regulating and gas metering units, condensate gathering and rundown system, F&G system, monitor and automatic control system.

At the time of launch, the CS of Muryaun field has become the 18th "small" compressor station as one of facilities of UVSING. Most of these CS are used for offtake of associated gas from the end stages of separation of oil production facilities, that allows reach the maximum level of the rational use of APG. For this important benchmark, PJSC Surgutneftegas has been deservedly leading among Russia's largest extraction companies for a number of years.
