Scheduled repair of the GTU of Kaluga CHPP
25 July 2017
Within the framework of the summer repair campaign, the branch of PJSC "Quadra" - "Central Generation" - started the scheduled repair of the gas turbine unit at Kaluga CHPP. Such repairs are designed to improve the operational characteristics and reliability of the GTU.The shutdown for maintenance of a gas turbine unit at the Kaluga CHPP is an annual technical survey, which is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the GTU manufacturer's factory. At the same time carrying out boroscopic inspection allows to determine with high reliability the state of the internal components of the turbine without dismantling its housing.

During the work on the recovery boiler, which is also part of the power plant's generating equipment, the internal metal sheathing and lining of the intermediate gas duct will be updated, which will direct the flow of incandescent gases from the gas turbine unit to the recovery boiler. There is carried out repair of shut-off valves, safety valves, evaporator circulation pumps, electric motors, replacement of consumables.
REFERENCE. GTU-30 MW of Kaluga CHPP was put into operation on May 16, 2011. Over 6 years of operation, it produced 300 million kW / h. The construction of this GTU is part of the investment program of PJSC "Quadra", carried out within the framework of Power Supply Agreement (PSA).
In accordance with the project, a new complex is being assembled as part of LM2500 + GA gas turbine unit manufactured by General Electric, a steam recovery boiler produced by NPO Barnaul Boiler Equipment Plant and a booster compressor station based on a two-stage compressor unit (BCU).
BCU of type EGSI-S-600 / 1000-150 / 1000WA compresses and feeds fuel to the turbine at a working pressure of 3.7 MPa. The gas flow rate is 11 600 m3 / h and is controlled by a two-level capacity control system. The unit is housed in its own sound-absorbing shelter, operates in automatic mode, is equipped with life support and safety systems.

The supply and commissioning of the BCU was carried out by ENERGAS. In 2016, after a trouble-free operating time of more than 12 thousand hours, the specialists of LLC ServicENERGAS (group ENERGAS) carried out complex maintenance of the compressor station.
