The first Russian project of ENERGAS in the field of comprehensive associated gas treatment is 10 years old!
13 May 2025
The project, implemented at Western Mogutlor, combines a number of original features and effective engineering solutions.Since May 2015, associated gas treatment system (APG TS) from ENERGAS has been operating at the Main Transfer Pumping Station (MTPS) of West-Mogutlor oil field. It is a multifunctional process complex, it includes the following equipment:
- Booster compressor unit of screw type;
- Adsorption gas dryer;
- Gas cooling unit (chiller);
- Gas metering station with flow meters.

ENERGAS experts developed this project on the basis of special engineering solutions, allowing to achieve negative dew point temperature on water (-20°C) while APG compression. Another feature is that dehydration of associated gas is carried out by two methods: refrigeration and adsorption.
All equipment is located at a single site, is placed in separate all-weather enclosures and fully automated. Operation mode as part of MTPS is continuous. APG TS sequentially performs the following process tasks:
1. Dehydration – separating fractions from source associated gas which can dropout as condensate when temperature changes during the subsequent compression.
2. APG second-stage treatment at gas inlet to the compressor unit. It is implemented by high efficiency separator – inlet filter-scrubber.
3. Compression – increase of gas pressure to the projected level of 3 MPa required for injection of APG into the transport pipeline.
4. Metering of treated gas amount.
5. Cooling of associated gas up to the stable parameters, specified by design requirements.

Earlier JSC ANGG (the oil field operator and the equipment customer) sent to the LLC ENERGAS a thank-you letter, in which there is noted the high reliability of partnerships at all stages of APG TS supply and commissioning.
It was highlighted that the high-technology equipment for APG recovery meets to the highest requirements in terms of execution and corresponds to the level adopted in the oil and gas industry. The uniqueness of the engineering solutions laid in the basis of the project particularly noted.
REFERENCE:
The West-Mogutlor oil field is located in the Nizhnevartovsk region of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area. It was put into operation in 1994, in terms of reserves it belongs to the category of small. The field has a developed infrastructure, which greatly facilitates its development. The development of Western Mogutlor is carried out by JSC ANGG, the subsidiary of PJSC RussNeft Oil Company.
