At the oil fields of Naryanmarneftegaz, a program is being implemented to increase the level of associated petroleum gas use. The next stage of the program is equipping the oil treatment plant (OTP) of the Varandey field with a low-pressure compressor station (CS), which will ensure the almost complete use of low separation stages APG.

CS includes three booster compressor units designed for post-treatment, compression and injection of APG into a gas pipeline. The peculiarity of this project is practically zero gas pressure at the inlet (0...0.01 MPa). The units increase the pressure to 0.5 MPa. The units were supplied by ENERGAS.

At present, after integrated testing as part of the OTP, the compressor station is put into operation. The whole cycle of prestart operations was performed by specialists of LLC ServicENERGAS (ENERGAS Group).



This is not the first experience of cooperation between Naryanmarneftegaz and ENERGAS. Earlier at the site of the Central Production Facility (CPF) "Yuzhnoye Khylchuyu", a booster compressor station of hangar (intra-shop) type was installed; it provides fuel gas to an autonomous power supply complex – a 125 MW gas turbine power plant.

REFERENCE. The Varandey field is located in the Nenets Autonomous Area (Arkhangelsk Region); it belongs to the Timano-Pechora oil and gas province. The first well was drilled in 1974, and in 1985, the first tanker with industrial oil Varandey was sent to Arkhangelsk. The field is developed by LLC Naryanmarneftegaz (managed by LLC LUKOIL-Komi).

Oil treatment plant "Varandey" is designed for dehydration and desalting of oil coming from Varandey, Toravay, Toboy, Myedsey, Perevoznoye and other promising fields in order to obtain marketable oil of the first quality group. In addition, here there is performed the processing of substandard oil returned from offshore tank farm (OTF) and coming from the terminal facilities of the oil pipeline CPF "Yuzhnoye Khylchuyu" – OTF "Varandey".
