In October 2009, the construction of a GTPP-25P gas turbine power plant was completed at Ufa CHPP-1 of LLC Bashkir Generation Company. The basis of power generating unit is the water-heating waste-heat boiler (Energomash-Stroy, Belgorod) and the GTE-25P gas turbine unit manufactured by Aviadvigatel OJSC based on the PS-90EU-2G engine.



The power plant is designed for combined generation of electrical and heat energy. The coefficient of utilization of the heat of combustion of fuel reaches 85%. Electric power from the GTPP generator is transferred to the network of OJSC Bashkirenergo. The heat is released through the waste-heat boiler by connection to the existing heat networks in the territory of CHPP-1.

Natural gas is used as the main fuel of the GTPP. Compressing of gas to the working pressure level (4.5 MPa) and its feeding to the turbine are carried out by the booster compressor station.

The packaged BCS has a capacity of 7,600 m3 / h, operates in automatic mode, is equipped with life support systems (heating, ventilation, lighting) and safety systems (fire detection and fire extinguishing, gas detection).



Supply of gas-compression equipment and the entire set of pre-start activities, including erection supervision, start-up and adjustment works, and tests, were carried out by the company ENERGAS.

The location of the gas turbine power plant at the territory of Ufa CHPP-1 has become one of the most significant energy projects in Bashkiria in recent years. The electric capacity of GTPP-25P at 22.5 MW is enough for electricity supply of more than 25 thousand city apartments, and the heat output of 26 Gcal / h – for heating 2,400 apartments, which significantly increased the reliability of electricity and heat supply in Ufa.
