Three gas compressor units are commissioned at the Rogozhnikovskoye field as a part of a new GTPP No. 2
1 October 2010
Preparations for the launch of the gas turbine power plant No. 2 (GTPP-2) of the Rogozhnikovskoye oil field have been completed. The installed electric capacity of the GTPP is 36 MW. Associated gas, previously flared, will be used as fuel for turbines. Commissioning of the new power plant, in combination with the generating capacities of the previously constructed GTPP-1, will allow to fully provide electricity to the field facilities.
To equip the Rogozhnikovskaya GTPP-2, the specialists of OJSC Sumy NPO named after M.V. Frunze have produced three power generating units based on gas turbine engines NK-16ST manufactured by KMPO. The rated capacity of each turbine is 16 MW, efficiency – 29% (ISO). The ТS-12R turbogenerators with capacity of 12 MW were manufactured by factory of Electrotyazhmash-Privod. APCS was supplied by GE Fanuk in cooperation with Sumy NPO.
A hangar-type compressor station consisting of three booster compressor units (BCU) provides fuel supply to the turbines. BCUs with capacity of 10,000 m3 / h compress (from 0.3 to 3.5 MPa) associated petroleum gas of medium pressure coming from the Central Production Facility.
The units are equipped with two-level capacity control systems, individual ACS, as well as a group system of automated control and monitoring integrated into the GTPP APCS. The operating mode of the BCU as a part of the object is continuous, with scheduled stops for maintenance.

Final gas purification at the inlet to each compressor is provided by highly efficient separators – two-stage filters-scrubbers with automatic drainage system. It is possible to quickly replace filter elements.
Compressor units also maintain the design temperature of fuel feeding to the combustion chambers of turbines. In accordance with the project, BCUs are located in separate capital building, complete with life support and safety systems.

The supply and the whole set of works on commissioning of this equipment were provided by ENERGAS.
REFERENCE. The Rogozhnikovskoye field is located in the Oktyabrsky district of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area. It is in operation since 2005. The development is carried out by the Bystrinskneft Oil and Gas Production Department of Surgutneftegas OJSC. The main difficulty for oilmen is the distance of the oilfield from the city of Surgut to a distance of almost 400 kilometers, as well as difficult geological and climatic conditions.
