Gas compressor units No. 2 and No. 4 underwent comprehensive maintenance at the site of Yarega power supply complex (LUKOIL-Komi)
4 November 2019
These units are part of the booster compressor station (BCS) that compresses and feeds fuel gas to the turbines of Yarega field’s GTU-CHPP under required operating pressure of 4.5 … 5 MPa.
Capacity of each compressor unit (CU) of screw type is 7,890 kg / h (10,770 m3 / h). Gas flow rate is adjusted by means of the two-tier capacity regulation system.
CUs are placed in separate block-modules of arctic type equipped with life support systems (heating, ventilation and lighting) and safety systems (fire detection and fire fighting, gas detection, alarm).
Since BCS commissioning, the operating time of compressor unit No. 2 has reached 14,000 hours, and CU-4 – 13,000 hours. The following service activities were performed:
- Replacement of consumables (gas and oil filters, oil in the bearings of the motors);
- Check the alignment of rotating units (compressors and motors);
- Gaps measure and checking the status of the internal components of the compressors;
- Adjustment and calibration of position sensors and positioning of valves and hydraulic controllers;
- Functional tests of the oil system and cooling system of the compressor units;
- Verification of operational parameters of the CU and their adjustment;
- Troubleshooting, drafting recommendations on components replacement.

In total, four compressor units and a gas treatment unit are serviced at the site of Yarega power supply complex. Maintenance works in compliance with the agreed schedule with the customer (every 4,000 machine hours) are carried out by the LLC ServicENERGAS engineers. In addition, ServicENERGAS provides a complete set of consumables.
The regular routine maintenance is conducted here according to the long-term contract signed within frameworks of a Program on the provision of long-term maintenance services. This Program is being actively expanded by ENERGAS Companies Group.
The similar agreement is valid for another one facility of LUKOIL-Komi LLC. At the Usinsk oil field, the technical specialists perform service activities on the gas treatment system for the Usa power supply complex.

REFERENCE. The Yarega power supply complex, in 2017 built on the basis of GTU-CHPP, is facility of own generating of the PJSC LUKOIL in the Republic of Komi. LUKOIL-Energoengineering LLC (a 100% subsidiary of LUKOIL) developed the project and implemented it using the main domestic equipment and innovative technologies at all stages of construction.
The facility includes three GTPP-25PA gas turbine power units produced by JSC UEC-Aviadvigatel with a total installed capacity of 75 MW. For issuance of the thermal power at the GTU-CHPP there are mounted three waste-heat boilers with total steam capacity of 121 t / h.
The launch of the power supply complex has provided the growing needs for electricity and steam of strategic Yarega oil-and-titanium field, increased the efficiency of its development and reliability of energy supply. The fuel for turbines of the GTU-CHPP is natural gas from Kurino-Patrakovskoye gas condensate field.
