At the CCGT of Mogilev CHPP-3, the overhaul of fuel gas compressor station has been completed

28 January 2026

The experts of the ServicENERGAS (part of ENERGAS Group) performed the overhaul of the booster compressor station No. 1 (BCS-1) operating as part of the combined cycle gas turbine unit of Mogilev CHPP-3. This BCS feeds the CCGT turbines with fuel gas that meets the specified parameters in terms of purity, temperature, pressure and flow rate.

1. Replaced the main element of the station – screw oil-filled compressor.

2. Local repair and restoration works were carried out.

3. Performed the replacement of consumables including gas filters of 1st and 2nd purification stages, oil and air filters.

4. The oil was replaced. The BCS oil system uses ester synthetic oil of the new generation EPLIQ, which is specially created for units made based on screw compressors.

5. Diagnostics of the automated control system and adjustment of its parameters were carried out.

6. Performed the check of the gas system and oil system of the compressor station for tightness.

7. Operability of safety systems (gas and fire detection, alarm, fire extinguishing) was checked.

8. Performed the start-up and adjustment works and own tests of BCS.

In parallel with the overhaul, ENERGAS service engineers carried out comprehensive maintenance (under the 8,000-hour maintenance schedule) of compressor station No. 2. The operating time of BCS-1 and BCS-2 exceeded 67 and 51 thousand hours, respectively.

Mogilev CHPP-3 provides electricity for houses, industrial enterprises, administrative and domestic buildings at the north part of the city. The combined cycle gas turbine unit has been operating as part of the power plant since June 2014.

CCGT power generating unit consists of two Siemens SGT-300 gas turbines with capacity of 7.5 MW each, steam turbine with capacity of 3.5 MW and two waste-heat boilers with steam productivity of 17.5 ton / h.

The high-performance CCGT operates in cogeneration mode. The installed electric capacity is 18.5 MW, thermal capacity is 23.2 MW. Overall efficiency of combined cycle gas turbine unit is 88%.
