At Kuibyshev Refinery, there was put into operation a residue gas compression unit

8 October 2008

As part of one of the process facilities of the Kuibyshev Refinery, a compressor unit (CU), supplied by ENERGAS, operates. The unit, created on the basis of a screw oil-filled compressor, performs compression of the residue gas.

CU with capacity of 6,900 m3 / h injects pressure to the level of 0.52 MPa. The unit was created according to a special project – for pumping gas with an extremely low input pressure of 0.03 MPa.

Packaged equipment is placed in a noise-proof shelter of container type and is located inside a separate room. In view of the high safety requirements, the CU is equipped with all the necessary systems: gas detection, fire detection, signaling, and firefighting.

The unit is fully automated; the control and monitoring system is integrated with the upper level of APCS. Commissioning was carried out as soon as possible.

The entire cycle of pre-commissioning activities (erection supervision, start-up and adjustment works, own tests, integrated testing as part of the facility) was carried out by technical specialists of LLC ENERGAS.
