Booster compressor station for APG treatment started operating at GTPP of Yukyaun field

15 December 2006

The gas-turbine power plant of Yukyaun field is the largest auxiliaries power plant. The basis of the three power units are turbines NK-16ST with a capacity of 12 MW, manufactured by KMPO. The installed electric capacity of the plant is 36 MW. As fuel, associated petroleum gas is used.

The project is one of the stages of the implementation of the energy program of OJSC "Surgutneftegas". Until 2010, the company plans to provide more than 500 MW of its own power capacity through the construction of new GTPPs.

As part of the GTPP-36, a booster compressor station (BCS) was put into operation – these are three gas compressor units of hangar (intra-shop) type, which purify and compress associated gas up to 2.6 MPa for its subsequent feeding to the turbines of power units.

Pre-start preparation of the units was performed by service specialists of ENERGAS.

REFERENCE. The Yukyaun oil field (Tyan group) is located in the Surgut region of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area. In terms of extractable reserves, it belongs to the category of medium, in operation since 2004.

The development is carried out by Nizhnesortymskneft OGPD, the northernmost Oil and Gas Production Department of OJSC Surgutneftegas. The peculiarities of the enterprise include oil production in difficult, unique conditions of the marshland. Today OGPD develops about a third of all Surgutneftegas fields. The main part of the reserves is low-permeability oil deposits.
