Booster compressor unit of the ENERGAS is prepared for operation at GTPP of Gezh oil field
18 November 2011
The gas turbine power plant Ural-4000, produced by Aviadvigatel OJSC, based on the gas turbine unit GTU-4P, is being prepared for launch at the site of central oil and gas gathering station (COGGS) "Gezh". The installed capacity of the power unit is 4 MW.GTPP will ensure recovery of up to 7.5 million m3 per year of associated gas with a high hydrogen sulphide content, which will allow to generate electricity for the needs of the Gezh oil field all year round and increase the percentage of rational use of APG.
Processing (final treatment and compression) of associated gas as fuel for GTPP with its subsequent feeding to the turbine will be carried out by a booster compressor unit. The BCU is equipped with a multi-stage filtration system, thanks to which APG at the outlet meets the highest requirements for purity.
The screw oil-filled compressor compresses low-pressure (0.05 MPa) gas to the level of 1.6 MPa, which is necessary for normal operation of the gas turbine unit. The capacity of the BCU is 2 thousand m3 / h.

The supply of equipment and the entire set of pre-start operations, including erection supervision, start-up and adjustment works, and own tests, were performed by ENERGAS, the main profile of which is gas treatment and fuel supply for generating equipment.
REFERENCE. Gezh oil field is located in the Krasnovishersky District of the Perm Territory. It was opened in 1971; it was put into commercial operation in 1983. The development is carried out by UralOil (part of OJSC LUKOIL).
