At Bystrinskoye field there was put into operation a booster compressor station of ENERGAS

26 November 2009

The adjustment works and tests of the booster compressor station were completed at the site of preliminary water removal unit No.2 (PWRU-2) of the Bystrinskoye field. ENERGAS engineers commissioned two compressor units (CU) that will operate as part of the oil and gas production complex in continuous operation mode.

The compressor station is designed for final purification and compressing of low-pressure (0.15 MPa) associated petroleum gas and ensures its injection into the transport gas pipeline under pressure of 0.8 MPa. The capacity of each booster compressor unit is 2,500 m3 / h.

CU placed in their own enclosures of arctic type; they operate in automatic mode, equipped with life support systems (heating, ventilation, and lighting) and safety systems (fire detection and fire extinguishing, gas detection, alarm). The high prefabrication level of the equipment allowed to reduce to a minimum the terms of the erection and start-up and adjustment works.

The commissioning of the booster compressor station at PWRU-2 of the Bystrinskoye field is part of the Program of measures for the use of petroleum associated gas of OJSC Surgutneftegas. As a result of the implementation of projects planned for 2009, the company expects to bring the level of rational use of APG to 95.9%.

REFERENCE. The Bystrinskoye oil and gas condensate field is located in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area. It is multilayer and belongs to the class of large. Deposit was opened in 1964; its name was named after the river Bystrinka. Commercial development began in 1974, but despite the “advanced” age of the field, it still ranks among the leaders of OJSC Surgutneftegas in terms of oil production. Developed by the Oil and Gas Production Department of Bystrinskneft.
