At Bittemskoye field there is commissioned booster compressor station of the company ENERGAS

28 November 2009

The implementation of the Program of measures for the use of associated petroleum gas of OJSC Surgutneftegas is continuing. At the Bittemskoye field of the Oil and Gas Production Department (OGPD) of Niznosortymskneft, the adjustment works and tests of the booster compressor station have been completed.

ENERGAS engineers commissioned 3 compressor units (CU) that will operate as part of the facility of oil and gas production complex in continuous operation mode.

CUs are designed to compress associated petroleum gas from the end separation stage and for its subsequent pumping into a transport gas pipeline. The capacity of each CU is 12 thousand m3 / h.

Units are placed in their own enclosures of arctic type and are equipped with safety systems (gas and fire detection, alarm, and fire extinguishing) and life support systems (lighting, heating, and ventilation). The high prefabrication level of the equipment allowed ENERGAS specialists to minimize the terms of erection and start-up and adjustment works.

REFERENCE. Bittemskoye oil field was put into development in 1999. The increase in production was due to intensive drilling. By the middle of 2002, the first million tons of oil was produced at the field.

Nizhnesortymskneft OGPD – the most northern Oil and Gas Production Department of Surgutneftegas OJSC – was established in 1989. The peculiarities of the enterprise include oil production in difficult, unique conditions of the marshland. Today, OGPD is developing 18 fields, which is one third of all Surgutneftegas fields. The main part of the reserves is low-permeability oil deposits.
