Associated gas compressor units at the power supply complex of the Usinsk field have undergone a scheduled overhaul

The work was carried out on two of the three units which form booster compressor station of fuel gas for the gas-turbine power units of GTU-CHPP.
The experts of the ServicENERGAS performed the scheduled overhaul (after 35,000 hours of operation) of two associated gas compressor units (CU) functioning at the Usinsk field as part of the auxiliary power supply complex of LUKOIL-Komi LLC. These CUs feed the turbines with fuel with specified parameters in terms of humidity, purity, temperature, pressure and flow rate.
The repair of the main elements of the CU - screw oil-filled compressors - was carried out at the site of the Repair and Training Center of the ENERGAS Group. Simultaneously, a comprehensive maintenance of the units was performed with the replacement of spare parts and consumables, including oil, oil filters and gas filters of all 3 stages of purification. The range of service and technical measures also comprised repeated adjustment and pre-start tests of the equipment.
For the overhaul period, ServicENERGAS engineers brought the working unit to its maximum capacity, which provided the necessary gas fuel flow rate for the uninterrupted operation of the entire power supply complex.

Booster station was commissioned in November 2016. Compressor units compress associated petroleum gas and feed it to the turbines at a pressure of 4.5…5 MPa and a temperature up to +80°C.
The project requirements for the gas purity are ensured by the multistage filtration system of CU: protective strainer, inlet filter-scrubber of the 1st stage of purification, gas-oil separator of the 2nd stage and coalescing (safety) filter of the 3rd stage. Thus, compliance of the fuel with the set parameters is guaranteed: the content of impurities in gas at the outlet is no more than 5 ppmw (mg / kg), the efficiency of purification from solid particles larger than 10 microns and liquid fraction is 100%.
All units are equipped with a gas drying module operating in temperature recovery mode. For this purpose, a chiller and a heater are integrated into the delivery line, which form an interim circuit and successively cool the gas, separate and remove the condensate, and heat the gas. The fuel dried in this way is fed to the turbines with a temperature of 20°C above the dew point.
The maximum volume productivity of each CU amounts to 21,447 kg / h. The actual gas flow rate depends on the dynamics of the load of conjugated turbines, and is controlled in the range from 0 to 100%. For control, a special two-tier regulation system is applied.
CUs are placed in separate block-modules of arctic type equipped with life support systems and safety. The units are additionally equipped with gas dew point analyzers for water and hydrocarbons with sampling devices.

REFERENCE:
Installed electric capacity of Usa power supply complex is 100 MW, thermal capacity is 120 Gcal / h. GTU-CHPP comprises four cogeneration power unit each of which is based on a GTE-25PA gas turbine unit with a capacity of 25 MW and a steam waste-heat boiler with productivity of 40 t / h.
