GTPP-24 of the West-Kamynskoye field is equipped with a booster compressor station
16 June 2006
The construction of a gas turbine power plant of West-Kamynskoye field with an installed capacity of 24 MW is completed.

The project is one of the stages of the implementation of the company's own gas-and-power project of OJSC “Surgutneftegas”. Until 2010, the company plans to provide more than 500 MW of its own power capacity through the construction of new GTPPs.
As part of the GTPP-24, a booster compressor station (BCS) was put into operation – three gas compressor units of hangar (intra-shop) type. BCS is designed for purification and compressing associated petroleum gas from the gas gathering unit and feeding it to the turbines NK-16ST (KMPO), which are part of two power units supplied by Sumy NPO named after M. V. Frunze.
In May this year, a similar BCS was commissioned at the gas turbine power plant of Konitlorskoye field. Also, the launch of compressor stations at GTPP of three other fields of Surgutneftegas is prepared: Yukiaunskoye, Severo-Labatyuganskoye and Murjunskoye. In total, 15 booster compressor units with capacity of 9000 m3 / h will operate at five facilities.
REFERENCE. The West-Kamynskoye oil field is located in the Surgut region of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area. Opened in 1975, put into operation in 2001. In terms of reserves, it is classified as very large, but at the same time it is complex in geological terms. The field is being developed by Lyantorneft OGPD, the third and at the time of its establishment (1980) the largest Oil and Gas Production Departments of Surgutneftegas.
