ENERGAS has supplied a booster compressor station for backup gas supply to the Zainsk SDPP in Tatarstan
20 February 2026
The booster compressor station (BCS) is designed to treat gas and inject it at a pressure of 0.6 MPa into the backup fuel supply pipeline of the power plant.BCS, supplied by ENERGAS, is made on the basis of a screw oil-filled compressor and is a packaged process unit with a maximum integration of the components on a single frame.

The maximum volume capacity of station is 17,000 m3 / h, gas flow rate is controlled in the range from 0 to 100% of rated using a special two-circuit regulation system.
The process flow scheme of BCS provides for the stable maintenance of the design fuel temperature. The delivery line is equipped with heat exchanger which cools the working medium to the optimum gas transportation temperature (+20…+45°C) set by the terms of the project.
The required parameters of the gas in terms of purity are guaranteed by the multistage filtration system of compressor station: inlet protective strainer, oil-gas separator of the 1st stage of purification and coalescing (safety) filter of the 2nd stage. Residual content of impurities in gas at the outlet of the BCS does not exceed 3 ppmw (mg / kg).
A feature of the project is the stringent requirements for noise insulation of equipment. ENERGAS BCS has special characteristics in terms of sound pressure (no more than 60 dBA) due to the applying of special materials in the enclosure design, the use of low-speed electric motors and fencing of air coolers.
Station is fully automated. The control system is made based on microprocessor technology, using modern software, switching equipment, channels and protocols of communication. ACS is placed in the compartment separated from the process part of BCS by gas-tight fire-resistant partition.

Gas booster unit in its own weatherproof enclosure of container type is equipped with life support systems (heating, ventilation, and lighting). According to safety requirements, BCS is equipped with gas and fire detection, alarm, and fire extinguishing systems.
