The ENERGAS BCS has been providing high-quality fuel for testing of gas turbines manufactured at the Nevsky Zavod for ten years

Since February 2016, this booster compressor station has been feeding NZL turbines with fuel gas with specified parameters in terms of purity, temperature, pressure and flow rate.
In 2016, Nevsky Zavod (part of REP Holding) upgraded the benches for testing gas turbine units (GTU) of own production. The ENERGAS Group, which specializes in equipping facilities of electric power industry and oil and gas industry with process equipment for gas treatment, took part in the project implementation.
ENERGAS has supplied and commissioned booster compressor station (BCS) of fuel gas. The BCS feeds the testable turbines with gas that meets the specified parameters in terms of purity, temperature, pressure and flow rate. This equipment was specially devised to operate in conditions of various tests duration and high intensity of starts (at least 200 per year).
The filtration system of BCS guarantees accordance of fuel to the set norms: the content of mechanical impurities in gas at the outlet is no more than 2 ppmw (mg / kg), the degree of purification from solid particles larger than 10 microns and liquid fraction is 100%.
The compressor module provides gas pressure on the delivery line in the range of 1.5 ... 4.3 MPa – depending on the type of conjugated GTU. Stable maintenance of the design fuel temperature (not higher than +50°C) is provided by the process flow scheme and configuration of elements of the BCS.
The maximum productivity of compressor station is 11,000 m3 / h. Gas flow rate depends on the capacity and dynamics of changes in the load of the associated turbine, and is controlled in the range from 0 to 100%. For this purpose, a special two-tier productivity regulation system is used, which allows the BCS to respond as quickly and correctly as possible to changing the operating mode of the testable unit and to changing the parameters of the inlet pipeline, and also provides, if necessary, the operation of the station in the gas recirculation mode.
In a letter of appreciation from CJSC Nevsky Zavod, the specialists of this enterprise confirmed: ENERGAS BCS guarantees all the standards and requirements for the quality of fuel gas, which provides the testing of gas turbines on schedule and in a timely manner. The letter stressed that at all stages of cooperation, the ENERGAS proved itself as a qualified team and promptly responded to the wishes of the customer.
REFERENCE. For ENERGAS Group this is the one of four similar projects. By specially designed compressor stations there are also equipped gas turbines test benches of PJSC Proton - Perm Motors, PJSC UEC - Ufa Motor-Building Production Association and JSC UEC - Gas Turbines.
