Cooperation between Russia and Switzerland is growing by the Tyumen Region
28 September 2018In February 2018 in Moscow there was held a presentation of the investment potential of the Tyumen Region for the Swiss companies operating in Russia. The delegation of the Tyumen Region was headed by Deputy Governor Vadim Shumkov. The meeting was organized with the active participation of the Swiss Embassy in Russia.
Finally in September 2018 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation in Russia, Mr. Yves Rossier, paid a business visit to the city of Tyumen.
The central event of the business program was the meeting of the Governor of the Tyumen Region Alexander Moor with the Swiss guests.
"I am very glad that you visited the hospitable Tyumen land", Alexander Moor thanked the guests. "The Tyumen Region is an open for investments and dynamically developing region. The main investments are in the creation of new industrial productions – for example, Antipinsky refinery, UMMC Stal, Tobolskneftekhim and many others".
According to the head of the region, the Tyumen Region is ready to form its proposals for each project – so to speak, "turnkey". The government proposes to provide full administrative support – from the idea of the project and up to its implementation. Then comes the second stage – contact with major customers and assistance in promoting products.
"The Government of the Tyumen Region is ready to provide individual support to each investor, what includes tax benefits and financial support, as well as full administrative support, and even the training of highly qualified personnel", said Alexander Moor.
In turn, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland in Russia, Yves Rossier, stressed that his country's priorities are such areas as engineering, metalworking and the chemical industry. The priority is bilateral investments, which build long-term relations not only between countries and companies, but also between people.
"If we invest in something, it means that we are building long-term relationships. The result of such relationships are joint training for personnel, innovation and infrastructure development", said Yves Rossier. He also named the main argument for choosing the place of investment – it is support from the Government, quality of life and highly qualified staff.
