At CHPP of the North-West District of Kursk of the company "Quadra", the capacity of combined cycle gas turbine unit (CCGT unit-115) has been confirmed

At the CHPP of the North-West District (CHPP NWD) of the company "Quadra", the actual capacity of the combined cycle gas turbine unit has been determined. During testing, generating equipment of CCGT unit operated for 8 hours at maximum load. The testing process was inspected by a special commission from among the representatives of the System Operator (JSC "SO UES") and employees of Kursk Branch of PJSC "Quadra".
According to the test results, the actual available capacity of the CCGT unit was 117.2 MW. The installed electric capacity of the CHPP is 116.9 MW; the thermal power is 710 Gcal / hour.
At present, at CHPP NWD there are operating six hot-water boilers with a total capacity of 600 Gcal / h, as well as CCGT unit equipment:
- two gas turbine units LM6000 PD Sprint (General Electric) with capacity of 45 MW each;
- steam turbine unit Т-25/34-3,4/0,12 ("Kaluga turbine plant") with capacity of 25 MW;
- two steam waste-heat boilers Pr-75-39-440D ("Machine-Building Factory of Podolsk").
Compression of fuel gas and its supply into turbines of the CCGT unit under the required operating pressure of 4.9 MPa are provided by the booster compressor station (BCS), supplied and commissioned in 2011 by ENERGAS.
BCS consists of two compressor units with a capacity of 13 thousand m3 / h each. The gas flow rate is controlled by a special two-tier regulation system. Packaged screw-type CUs operate in automatic mode; the automated control system is integrated with the upper level of APCS.
